| According to statistics of Vietnam Custóm, seafood export of Vietnam reached 466 million USD in July, 2010 up 16.8% over June, 2010. Export value to EU was 109 million USD, up 17.8%; to the US was 95.7 million USD, up 44.3%; and to Japan was 90.1 million USD, up more than 11% compared to last month. |
By July 2010, seafood export reached 2.49 billion USD, up 13.3% as compared to the same period last year.
EU has become the leading importer of Vietnamese seafood in the first seven months of 2010 with value of 624 million USD, up 5.5% against the same period of 2009. Japan ranked the second with 459 million USD, up 18.4%, while the U.S ranked the third with 418 million USD, up 11.5%.
The main catagories of Vietnamese exported seafood were shrimp, pangasius, octopus, squid and fish products. Generally, these catafories accounted for 97% of total exported seafood volume of the country. |
