In Jan-May 2001, Taiwan, Japan and Indonesia were the three biggest suppliers of seafood for Viet Nam. Import from Taiwan reached US$23.77 million, accounting for 19.73 percent of the country’s total seafood import value, up 83.95 percent year-on-year. Import from Japan amounted to nearly US$11.1 million, accounting for 9.21 percent, up 29.39 percent and import from Indonesia netted US$10.72 million, representing 8.90 percent, up 52.08 percent. |
