Mr. Duong Ngoc Minh, Head of the Steering Board, forecast Pangasius exports to Russia is on upward trend in the coming months and might reach US$100 million in 2010. Minh attributed such growth to adjustments in Russia’s import policies which make this market more potential for exporters with high demand and improved credit-worthiness.
From January to April of this year, Viet Nam already shipped 5, 504MT of Pangasius to Russia, valued at nearly US$9.289 million, with higher average export price than 2009. |
