The main product is frozen shrimp with the value of over 600 million USD. It’s 5% lower than in the same period last year. The problem of lacking material is partly solved but the value is still 8% lower than in 2008. However, the quantity of aquaculture and caught fish is running up significantly in the end of 2009. Since the beginning of the year, the quantity of aquaculture and caught fish has been measured at 200,000 tons and used for the production of the factories in the province.

As predicted by Department of Agriculture and Farm Development in Ca Mau, the quantity of aquaculture will be nearly double in 2010, reaching 140,000 tons (900 million USD), 34% higher than in 2009.
